A continental breakfast comprising fresh, local bread, croissants, butter, jam, preserves, fruit juices, tea, coffee, yoghurt, fruit and cereal is served every morning in the kitchen.



On full-day cycling rides we stop for lunch at local restaurants or cafes. On half-day rides or non-cycling days, the supermarket in St. Privat (9km) is well stocked for preparing lunch at the house or there are many restaurants with prix-fixe menus.




Dine in

You can choose either an all-inclusive dinner package which includes one gourmet 4-course meal prepared at the house by a former international Chef; five delicious home-cooked meals; and the Friday Night Farewell dinner at a top local restaurant or opt for a limited selection of dinners.

All meals use local, fresh produce including vegetables from the organic vegetable plot in the garden.

Dine out:

Enjoy dinner at one of the many reasonably priced local restaurants or at a nearby night market. Thursday evenings in July and August, Monceaux hosts a fantastic outdoor barbecue with bar and live music.  On Wednesday evenings, Argentat has various stalls and local cafes and restaurants have live music.

Groups that cook together often have a lot of fun! The region is known for its Cepe mushrooms, high quality beef and fresh produce. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen has a gas hob, micro-wave and electric oven. Or opt for a barbecue in the garden! Recipe suggestions provided upon request.

Friday Night Farewell Dinner (& Prize-giving!)

On Friday evenings dinner is at Les Contes de Bruyeres, a top local restaurant headed by Chef Martina Kömpel.  Enjoy a four-course meal of soup tureen, salad, main course and dessert served with sparkling water and wine. Vegetarian and food allergies can be accommodated with advance notice. Prizes for accomplishments on and off the bike!
